Have Blackstone Labs do oil analysis each time 'til they iron out the most efficient oil change interval. I did the first one at 5K, they said to try 6K. I did it at 11K, they said to try 7K.

Hey guys, my golf 5 2.0 Tdi gt is up for servicing shortly so been looking for general service parts and found some Castrol R magnitec 10W-40 for petrol and Diesel engines for £15 instead of £39 wondering what's the best oil for my motor and if this will do the job nicely. How To Step 13. Install the new VW Jetta oil filter o-ring (which comes with the new oil filter) back onto its groove on the housing cap. Lubricate it with some fresh clean oil. Be careful not to stretch the o-ring too. Also, lubricate the o-ring on the oil filter with a little bit of fresh oil.
